Meet Me
Cantor Kenneth Feibush (he/him/his) serves as Cantor of Congregation Beth Israel in Houston, Texas. Previously he has served Temple Sholom of West Essex in Cedar Grove, NJ. As a cantorial student, he has served pulpits at Beth Shalom Synagogue, now Unified Jewish Congregation in Baton Rouge, Congregation Or Hatzafon in Fairbanks, AK, and Hebrew Tabernacle in Washington Heights. He is an ordinee of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion where he also received a Master’s of Sacred Music. Cantor Feibush also served as the Student Co-Coordinator of the HUC-JIR Soup Kitchen.
He graduated from Rutgers College with a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies and Psychology and a minor in Spanish and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Cantor Feibush led the Reform community at Rutgers Hillel where he helped stage a protest against the Westboro Baptist Church his senior year. He also performed with Deep Treble, a co-ed a cappella group at Rutgers. Among his favorite performances was a special concert with Youtube and Netflix star, Miranda Sings. In addition to his love of singing, Cantor Feibush is also an avid violinist and violist, having studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He also has a passion for travel, art and history, Cantor Feibush grew up in Watchung, NJ.

Memorial Scrolls Trust
Cantor Kenneth Feibush volunteered with the Memorial Scrolls Trust to find homes for Torah scrolls rescued from the former Czechoslovakia. The Trust, based in London, UK, has 1,564 Torah scrolls, of which about 1,000 have found homes in synagogues, day schools, Hillels, and other centers of Jewish life. Here, Cantor Feibush delivered MST #882, originally from Chotěboř to Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto, Canada. Cantor Feibush has worked with nearly a dozen communities to adopt a Torah scroll and take on the legacy of the town of origin.
